ASL Pop-Up Player

DCMP members often request the addition of American Sign Language interpretation as an accessibility feature. To this end, we're excited to present the ASL Pop-up! Select videos now include ASL interpretation through a pop-up window.

While DCMP has hundreds of videos in ASL (which can be identified by the circular ASL icon), our new pop-up feature allows for the addition of sign language interpretation to content that is not natively in ASL. Videos with the pop-up feature have an "interpret" icon at the bottom of the player window (see above image). Click the icon to launch the ASL player, either in Overlay or Side-by-side mode. The ASL pop-up also works in full-screen.

DCMP has refined its search filter. The ASL filter now includes all videos that are fully in ASL as well as videos with the ASL Pop-up. Videos that are about sign language but not fully in ASL are no longer included in the ASL search filter.

We've added ASL to hundreds of videos, and are adding new ones continually. Below are some topic areas to get started. You can also find them by filtering search results, by spotting the "ASL" icon on video thumbnails, and find all the ASL Pop-Up videos here.
