Browse Full-length Non-member TitlesIn 1976, anthropologist Spencer MacCallum bought three pieces of pottery at a secondhand store in Deming, New Mexico. At the time, he had no idea that he was about to embark on a journey that would lead to the revival of an ancient art form. He found his way to Mata Ortiz, Mexico and partnered with self-taught artist Juan Quezada. They have created an industry that is known worldwide not only for its interpretations of a centuries-old style of ceramics, but for stunning postmodern works as well. This is an Emmy Award-winning documentary.
