Access: Post-Production/Offline Captioning Module
Access: Post-Production / Offline Captioning is an overview of what captions are and why they are essential to providing access for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. The module reviews guidelines for captions, discusses laws pertaining to captioning, and compares various methods of creating captions. It also includes video examples and practice captioning simulations.
While designed for disability service professionals, instructors, and IT professionals working in secondary and postsecondary education, anyone wanting to learn more about post-production captioning will find the training informative and beneficial.
Participants who successfully complete the training may download and print a file issued by DCMP that verifies completion of two hours of training.
