DCMP Honored With Two Anthem Awards
The Described and Captioned Media Program (DCMP) has been honored as the recipient of two awards in the 3rd Annual Anthem Awards category of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. The Anthem Awards recognize social good through the purpose & mission-driven work of people, companies, and organizations worldwide.

"It's very gratifying for DCMP to be recognized by The 2024 Anthem Awards," said DCMP CEO Jason Stark. "In addition to our accessible streaming service that benefits students with disabilities, we're proud of our successes with adding sign language to educational videos and helping bring audio description to YouTube. We expect 2024 to see even more accessibility innovation from DCMP."
The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards competition received over 2,000 entries from more than 30 countries worldwide. Winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. “Since launching the Anthem Awards launch in 2021, we’ve seen incredible change and growth in the impact sector,” said Anthem Awards General Manager, Patricia McLoughlin. “The work that we have received in the 3rd Annual Anthem Anthem Awards is game-changing."
For over 30 years, DCMP has been a leader in the field of educational media accessibility. Funded through two grants from the U.S. Department of Education, DCMP provides a free streaming service with thousands of educational videos that have added captions, audio description, and American Sign Language (ASL). DCMP partners with top content producers and distributors in the educational and broadcast markets to make their content accessible and available to thousands of educators and families who have students with disabilities. DCMP is also a leader in the development of new technologies that expand media accessibility.
