From the interviews and performances, one realizes that deafness is not only a medical diagnosis but a cultural phenomenon as well. Sign language and exceptional visual sensitivity overcome the absence of sound. Emmanuelle Laborit, the actress, comments about the misconceptions many hearing people have about the deaf: "They think we are unhappy, but they're wrong. We are chatterboxes and extremely high spirited." Produced by Swiss television, the audio is multi-lingual, with English subtitles.
