Dago Garcia, a well-known Colombian film and television writer, seeks German Mejia, Rodrigo Llano, Margarita Garrido and the scholar Jorge Arias de Greiff for background information on the July 20th conspiracy. This event is considered the starting point in the fight for Colombia's independence. He interviews a musicologist and an architect to provide a touch of drama to this story and understand the relationship of this phenomenon with what was happening in Europe with Napoleon Bonaparte.
