Browse Full-length Non-member TitlesWhile hospitality teaches us to be kind and welcome people no matter their race or religion, xenophobia is the incomprehension and rejection of another. In this chapter the professor of the Institute of philosophy of the University of Antioquia, Juan Camilo Gallo, explains how this influences the behavior of human beings. Xenophobia is not always aggressive and brutal; there are many nicer ways to practice it. Incomprehension, impatience, and regionalisms are types of xenophobia. Learning the different feelings and opinions about the topic, helps us understand the situations in which we reject others without meaning to.
