Despite her efforts to find sanctuary through home schooling, her attackers followed her home and assaulted her mother. Lisa's experiences with bullies as well as other students' stories have encouraged various high schools to start Peer Mentors Programs. These programs help students find new solutions to end bullying and breaking down the stereotypes that cause bullying. The students also work to foster a more peaceful environment at school.
